The first step in a project like this is a careful demolition of what has to be taken away. At the Central Avenue Mill, the process started early March 2019 and the crews took care of taking down what had to be removed. The semi run down look turned into a temporary chaos to get the old out to make room for the new.
Along the way, some old artifacts grabbed our attention for possible future use even if it is for display only. After all, the character of the space is changing but without forgetting its past. We’ll see how and if can we make use of these mementos from a bygone era. This safe was used when profits were in physical form. Now that are a number on a computer screen.
